Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Blocsmith LLC ("MoatDrop", "we"), which operates MoatDrop. By creating an account or using MoatDrop, including through the API or the MCP endpoint, you agree to them. If you use MoatDrop for an organization, you agree on its behalf.

The service

MoatDrop lets you attach documents to secure links and ask questions of those documents with AI, from the web app or from an AI assistant you connect. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Your account

Give accurate information when you register and keep your password, API keys and share tokens secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for who you give a share token to: anyone holding a token can query that link until you revoke it.

Your documents

You keep all rights to the documents you upload. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run the service for you. You confirm that you have the right to upload each document and to let the people you share a link with query it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • upload content that is unlawful or that you have no right to share;
  • upload malware, or probe, attack or disrupt the service;
  • get around plan limits, quotas or access controls;
  • use the service to extract personal information about people unlawfully.

AI answers

Answers are generated by AI and can be wrong or incomplete. They are not legal, tax, financial or medical advice. Check anything important against the source document before you rely on it.

Plans and billing

MoatDrop has a free plan and paid plans, each with usage limits shown in the app. Subscriptions are billed in advance through Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record, and renew until you cancel. Where a plan allows usage beyond its included queries, that usage is billed after it is used. If you cancel, your paid features stay active until the end of the period you have paid for.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app; the Privacy Policy explains the grace period and what is deleted. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

Disclaimers

MoatDrop is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is material we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use MoatDrop after a change means you accept it.
